Echo

Echo is an unglazed ceramic sculpture in white stone clay from the Folded Figures series. Inspired by the fluid relationship between fabric and the female form, the reclining figure is reduced to flowing curves and folds, creating a silhouette that shifts between body and draped textile as the viewer moves around the piece.

Hand-built from clay and left unglazed to highlight the natural texture of the material, Echo explores the contrast between the solidity of clay and the softness and fluidity of the female form.
