Gaia

Gaia is an unglazed ceramic sculpture in red ochre clay from the Folded Series, inspired by the fluid relationship between fabric and the female form. Soft folds and rounded curves create a compact silhouette that appears to shift between draped textile and body, revealing the figure through simple, organic lines.

Hand-built from a flat slab of clay, the sculpture explores transformation through folding and movement. Left unglazed to highlight the natural warmth and texture of the red ochre clay, Gaia celebrates femininity, softness, and the expressive power of form.
