Shadow - small

This unglazed ceramic sculpture depicts a reclining female figure in a relaxed, elongated pose. Simplified curves and subtle shifts in volume define the body, while the abstracted head and upper torso give the figure a sense of quiet anonymity.

Hand-built in black charcoal clay and left completely unglazed, the sculpture celebrates the natural depth and texture of the material. Its matte black surface emphasizes the silhouette and allows light and shadow to reveal the contours of the body.
